Zaay Green Signs Professional Women’s Basketball Contract with Kibirkštis Vilnius
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama women’s basketball player, Zaay Green, has signed a professional contract with Kibirkštis Vilnius in Lithuania, Europe, and will compete with the team during the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Green told the organization, “I chose to join this team because I want to gain my first experience competing abroad and I think Kibirkštis is a great place for that. I hope to compete and win at the highest level.”
- Competed for Alabama during the 2024-25 season at starting point guard
- Became the program’s 11th overall draft pick after being selected by the Washington Mystics in round three of the 2025 WNBA Draft
- Collected 1,796 career points over her six seasons, that last of which was spent at Alabama
- Appeared and started in all 33 games for the Tide, averaging 31.6 minutes per game
- Led UA in total points scored in 2024-25 (519), while averaging 15.7 points a game, and in assists, with an additional 4.5 assists per contest
- Scored 20-or-more points in 10 different games
- Scored a season-high 28 points at California (Dec. 5)
- Posted double-digit scoring in 29 of the 33 games she played
- Dished out a season-high eight assists in a win at Ole Miss (Jan. 12)
- Grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds against Georgia State (Dec. 2, 2024)
