Alabama Football’s Brailsford, Proctor, Roberts Named to Outland Trophy Watch List
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football’s Parker Brailsford, Kadyn Proctor and Jaeden Roberts were named to the 2025 Outland Trophy Watch List, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) announced Tuesday.
The three returning linemen are among 50 candidates named to the preseason list for the Outland Trophy, named in honor of All-America offensive line John Outland of Penn. The honor has been presented annually since 1946 by the FWAA to recognize the top interior lineman in college football on offense or defense. Semifinalists for the Outland will be selected on Nov. 19 with three finalists announced live on ESPN on Nov. 25. The 2025 winner will be honored at the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Dec.11.
Six Crimson Tide players have won the award previously, including Chris Samuels (1999), Andre Smith (2008), Barrett Jones (2011), Cam Robinson (2016), Quinnen Williams (2018), and most recently, Alex Leatherwood in 2020.
Parker Brailsford
Center, Redshirt Junior
- One of the nation’s top centers and offensive lineman overall
- Started all 13 games for Alabama in 2024, earning second team All-American honors from the FWAA following his first season in Tuscaloosa
- Did not allow a sack in his 777 snaps along the offensive line, according to Pro Football Focus
- Responsible for 63 knockdown blocks as tallied by the UA coaching staff
- A factor in the middle of an offensive line that helped UA generate 33.8 points per game a season ago, finishing as a top-25 scoring offense
- Helped open running lanes for a Crimson Tide rushing attack that averaged 173.8 rushing yards per contest
Kadyn Proctor
Tackle, Junior
- An imposing presence and two-year starter on the left side of the Tide offensive line
- Started 11 games at left tackle for Alabama in 2024, garnering second team All-Southeastern Conference honors
- Registered 54 total knockdowns across 639 snaps in his 11 games as a sophomore
- Contributed to a rushing attack that averaged 173.8 yards per game and finished with 41 scores on the ground to lead the SEC and rank fifth nationally
Jaeden Roberts
Guard, Redshirt Senior
- A dominant blocker that started 12 games at right guard in 2024
- Surrendered just one sack in 253 passing blocking attempts in ’24, according to PFF
- Reinforced the Tide’s front line to help create 33.8 points per game a season ago, the 22nd-best scoring offense in the nation
- Blocked for an Alabama rushing group that averaged 173.8 rushing yards per game
