TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama alum and four-time All American Montana Fouts threw a complete game shutout Sunday afternoon at Rhoads Stadium to clinch the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Championship for the Talons over the Bandits in a best-of-three series.

Fouts struck out seven in Sunday’s complete game shutout, a 1-0 win for the Talons that secured the championship series over the Bandits following a 3-1 win in game one on Saturday. The championship series was played in front of a sellout crowd at Alabama’s Rhoads Stadium, marking Fouts’ first return to the field she called home from 2019-23 as a four time All-American with the Crimson Tide.

During her time at the Captsone, Fouts earned 100 career wins in the circle while helping lead Alabama to a 2019 SEC regular season title, a 2021 SEC Tournament title and three Women’s College World Series appearances. She was named the 2019 SEC Freshman of the Year, 2021 SEC and NFCA Pitcher of the Year and the 2023 Softball America Pitcher of the Year. In 2023, she became the first Alabama softball athlete to win the Honda Sport Award.
