Gators in the NFL: Week 11

Last Updated: November 18, 2025By

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Week 11 of the NFL season delivered standout linebacker performances, clutch punter holds and a pivotal score.

Each week of the 2025-26 season, FloridaGators.com will cover all of the best moments from the NFL stars who made a name for themselves in Gainesville.

Offense

Van Jefferson – WR – Tennessee Titans

Van Jefferson finds the end zone! The veteran receiver hauled in his first touchdown of the year late in the fourth quarter for the Titans, tying the game with 1:35 remaining on a 95-yard scoring drive.

He finished with three catches for 22 yards, stepping up in a crucial moment after fellow receivers Chimere Dike and Calvin Ridley exited earlier with injuries.

Fred Johnson – OT – Philadelphia Eagles

Fred Johnson logged a season-high 62 snaps in prime time against the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. After All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson left early with an injury, F. Johnson stepped into the starting role and held firm. The six-foot-seven lineman did not allow a single sack or quarterback for the entire game, showcasing strong control in both pass protection and run blocking and keeping the offense operating efficiently throughout the night.

Defense

Alex Anzalone – LB – Detroit Lions

Alex Anzalone brings down the hammer! The ninth-year linebacker brought the heat with a tremendous tackle-for loss on a screen to Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, forcing a second-and-long. On the ensuing play, the Eagles failed to move the chains, resulting in a stalled drive and a forced field goal attempt.

Anzalone made his presence felt throughout the game, consistently flying to the ball and performing well in coverage, finishing with an impressive 80.4 PFF tackling grade.

Shemar James – LB – Dallas Cowboys

Domination by Dallas! Rookie linebacker Shemar James contributed heavily to Dallas’ defensive showcase on Monday night, finishing with seven tackles (three solo) and applying impactful pressure on a quarterback blitz that directly set up a Quinnen Williams sack.

His timely stops and disruptive presence were key factors in the Cowboys’ defensive surge, which produced four sacks, an interception and even a safety against the struggling Raiders offense. James continues to prove he can step up in big moments and thrive.

Special Teams

Evan McPherson – K – Cincinnati Bengals

McPherson delivered a perfect day in tough conditions, going two-for-two on his field goals, converting from 43 and 48 yards. The latter cut the deficit to one score with under ten minutes left in the fourth quarter, giving the Bengals an opportunity to stay within striking distance.

Despite mid-40s temperatures and 17 mile-per-hour winds, McPherson remained composed and knocked down two critical kicks for Cincinnati.

Jeremy Crawshaw – P – Denver Broncos and Tommy Townsend – P – Houston Texans

Contributing in every way they could, punters Tommy Townsend and Jeremy Crawshaw played major roles beyond punting duties. Both delivered flawless holds for their kickers Matthew Wright and Will Lutz, respectively. Each kicker knocked down game-winning field goals as time expired, sealing close victories for the Texans over the Titans and the Broncos over the Chiefs.

The tandem also rose to the occasion in the punt game, with Townsend pinning four kicks inside the 20 and Crawshaw adding three of his own, giving their teams a clear edge in the field-position battle.
