Softball Announces Six New Signees on Wednesday

TALLAHASSEE – Head Coach Lonni Alameda and the Florida State softball program announced six signees on Wednesday afternoon for another top 15 class according to On3. Kaylee Goodpaster, McLaine Hudson, Callee Leffler, Ava Lorenzatti, Missy Odom and Addyson Ware each signed their letters of intent on Wednesday. 
 
“Our 2026 class is full of talent, character and versatility. We as a staff are proud to welcome Kaylee, Addy, Missy, McLaine, Callee, Ava and their families to our Seminole family,” Head Coach Lonni Alameda said. “Committing to our program is more than the game of softball; it is joining a family, a fan base, an extended alumni sisterhood and most importantly a great university to attain their degree.”
 
 
Kaylee Goodpaster | Outfield | Panama City, Florida | North Bay Haven Charter Academy
 
Goodpaster, a Prep Softball All-American, is coming to Tallahassee with plenty of experience in the outfield. Goodpaster was rated a four-star recruit by On3 and the No. 6 overall player in the state of Florida. Goodpaster led the state of Florida for RBI and was named the Bay County Player of the Year twice, FACA District 2 Player of the Year, and All-State Softball four times. Goodpaster holds the Bay County career home run and RBI records, she is also the North Bay Haven career hits, home run, RBI leader and holds the single season records for hits, RBI, homerun, doubles and slugging percentage. Outside of softball, Goodpaster plays basketball and is a 1,000 point scorer and was named the 2025 News Herald Player of the Year. Kaylee is the daughter of Isaac and Amber Goodpaster and has an older brother, Kyle. Her father played football at Wofford and her cousin, Isabella Haggard, plays volleyball at Marquette. Goodpaster plans on majoring in business.

McLaine Hudson | Infield | Bowling Green, Kentucky | South Warren High School 
 
Hudson come to Tallahassee as a five-star by On3 and is ranked the No. 5 overall player in the 2026 class. Hudson was the 2025 Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year a four-time All-State honoree. Hudson holds the Kentucky state record for career hits and also set the Kentucky state record for hits in a season with 93. Hudson has had great success with the USA Softball U-18 National Team this fall where she helped Team USA to a gold medal at the 2025 WBSC U-19 World Cup Finals. During the World Cup, Hudson went 9-for-16 (.563) with a home run, three RBI and 10 runs scored and was named to the All-World Team. Hudson was also a great basketball player as she has scored over 1,600 career points on the court and was a two-time first team all-region honoree. Academically, Hudson earned KHSAA Three-Time First Team Academic All-State honors and holds a 4.0 GPA. She plans on majoring in psychology at FSU. Hudson is the daughter of Todd and Caroline Hudson. McLaine has one sister, Mallory, who Miss Kentucky in 2023 and finished third in Miss America in 2024. Hudson’s uncle, Travis, is the head women’s volleyball coach at Western Kentucky.

Callee Leffler | Outfield | Pine Grove, Pennsylvania | Pine Grove Area High School 

 

One of the top players in the state of Pennsylvania is headed to Tallahassee with hopes to continue the Noles long history of successful outfielders. Leffler was the 2023 Pottsville Republican Rookie of the Year, 2025 Pottsville Republican Player of the Year, and 3A Player of the Year. Leffler was also named to the PIAA All State First Team, Schuylkill County Coaches First Team three times, Pine Grove Softball MVP three times and was a PGF Futures All American in 2024 and 2025. Leffler also plays basketball for Pine Grove and is a member of the National Honors Society. Calle is the daughter of Ryan and Theresa Leffler and has three younger siblings, Kenna, Cadence, and Keegan. Calle plans to major in Speech Pathology.

Ava Lorenzatti | Pitcher | Beecher, Illinois | Beecher High School

 

For the second consecutive season, the Seminoles snagged the top overall player in the state of Illinois as Lorenzatti comes to Tallahassee with Lorenzatti hopes to make an impact in the circle for the Seminoles. Lorenzatti is ranked a top 10 pitcher in the country by On3 and a top 50 overall player in the country. Lorenzatti was an Illinois 2025 softball state champion, three-time IHSA 1st team all-state member and three-time conference player of the year. Ava is the daughter of Melissa and Tony Lorenzatti and has a younger sister, Ashley. Her father played football at Central Michigan. Ava plans on majoring in Business.

Missy Odom | Pitcher | Parish, Alabama | Montverde Academy

 

Odom is a versatile two-sport who will also be a member of the FSU women’s basketball program. The 6-2 pitcher was the 2024 5A Pitcher of the Year for Jasper High School and helped Jasper to a 5A State Championship. Odom is ranked the No. 40 overall basketball player in the 2026 class. Odom is the daughter of Brooke Odom and plans on majoring in sports broadcasting at Florida State.

Addyson Ware | Infield/Outfield | Lanesville, Indiana | Floyd Central High School

 

The multi-position player Ware is coming to Tallahassee with hopes to make an impact for the Seminoles. Ware was named to the Indiana all-state team twice, all-conference team three times, IndyStar Softball Player of the Week twice, and was an IndyStar Softball Player of the Year Nominee. Ware is also a PGF National Champion, IDT Champion, three time Sectional Champion, Regional Champion, and Semi State runner up. Ware is a member of the National Honor Society. Addyson is the daughter of Daniel and Heather Ware and has a younger brother, Chance. Her father played baseball at Indiana University Southeast and her uncle Ritchie Ware played baseball at Greenville College and was drafted to the Dodgers.
