Women’s Tennis Welcomes Three New World-Class Gators To Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Head Women’s Tennis Coach Per Nilsson announced today that the team is welcoming three of the best junior tennis players in the world to its roster as Brooke Black, Capucine Jauffret and Allegra Korpanec Davies all signed on to join the Gators beginning in 2026.

 

“We can’t wait to work with Brooke, Capucine and Allegra,” said Nilsson. “All three of them want to improve and be part of something special at Florida. They bring a lot of experience on court, but our expectation is for them to grow and for us to help them reach a very high level. Lots of fun personalities, and we are excited for everyone to get started.”

 

BROOKE BLACK

Black attended the Teddington School in the United Kingdom, and will enroll at Florida in the spring of 2026 and begin competing for the Gators immediately.

The winner of 13 ITF junior titles, Black has an ITF world junior ranking high of No. 56. She is ranked No. 708 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) in singles, and No. 524 in doubles. She won the W35 doubles title in 2025. Her UTR rating high is 11.05, and her best singles win of the season came against the No. 233 ranked player in the WTA.

 

Black’s father, Wayne, her uncle Byron, and her aunt Cara all won professional grand slam titles in doubles. Her mother, Irina, was the No. 85 ranked singles player in the WTA, and the No. 44 ranked doubles player.

 

CAPUCINE JAUFFRET

Jauffret is an ICL Academy product from Wilmington, Del. A blue-chip recruit per Tennis Recruiting, the site has had her ranked as high as the fourth best recruit in the United States.

 

The winner of three ITF junior titles, Jauffret was ranked as high as No. 48 in the world junior rankings by the ITF. She was a finalist in the 18s singles at the USTA National Indoor Championships, and boasts a UTR rating of 10.32.

 

Jauffret’s grandfather holds the record for most times played for the France Davis Cup team with 35 between 1964 and 1978.

 

ALLEGRA KORPANEC DAVIES

Korpanec Davies was home schooled in the United Kingdom, and will enroll at Florida in the fall of 2026.

 

With seven ITF junior titles under her belt, she is ranked fourth in the UK junior rankings, and has a world junior ranking high of No. 49 by the ITF. The WTA ranks her No. 1,327 in singles, and her highest UTR rating is 10.32.
