No. 19 Georgia Falls to No. 8 Vanderbilt, 2-0, in SEC Semifinals
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of Georgia soccer team’s journey in the 2025 SEC Tournament ended Thursday evening with a 2-0 loss to No. 8 Vanderbilt before 1,353 spectators at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex.

- Vanderbilt (15-3-1) outshot Georgia (10-4-6), 14-7, including a 7-1 advantage in shots on frame. The Bulldogs’ lone shot on goal came in the 84th minute as senior defender Cate Hardin’s shot was saved by Commodore goalkeeper Sara Wojdelko.
- Vanderbilt struck first in the 15th minute as Sydney Watts scored in the bottom left of the goal off an assist from Olivia Stafford. Watts later earned a brace with a 68th-minute goal set by the service from Maci Teater.
- Georgia’s best scoring opportunity came in the 61st minute as graduate defender BK Harris found herself with an empty net, but her strike hit the left post.
- Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Folliard tallied five saves for the second-consecutive match.
