No. 18/RV Seminoles Set for Tri-Meet at LSU
Baton Rouge, La. – The No.18/RV Florida State swimming and diving team will travel to Baton Rouge, Louisianna, to take on No. 14/21 LSU and No. 16/16 Alabama at the LSU Natatorium on Friday, November 7, at 12 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. CT.
Friday’s meet will be Florida State’s second-to-last of the 2025 calendar year. The Seminoles will open 2026 at home before beginning postseason competition.
The meet will be live streamed on SECN+, while live results will be available at Meet Mobile. Direct links and live updates from the pool can be found by following and connecting with the Seminoles on Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook.
“Our team has been putting in great work, and this weekend is all about racing hard and seeing what we’re capable of,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “Facing strong competition always pushes us to rise to the occasion.”
The Seminole men’s team is ranked No. 18 in the October CSCAA Poll, while the women are receiving votes, just two spots out of the top 25.
LSU heads into the meet ranked No. 14 on the men’s side and No. 21 for the women, while Alabama holds the No. 16 spot in both polls. Unbeaten in dual meets, the Tigers are coming off a sweep of No. 21/NR Kentucky on October 24. The Crimson Tide last competed on October 10, falling at home to No. 1/2 Texas after opening the season with a win over Delta State.
Florida State is coming off a strong showing against NR/No.17 South Carolina on October 31, earning a 179-121 victory on the men’s side and falling to the No. 17 Gamecock women.
Redshirt senior Kayleigh Clark was named ACC Diver of the Week after the meet, winning 1-meter and finishing second on 3-meter. Sophomore Michel Arkhangelsky earned ACC Swimmer of the Week honors after recording three individual victories and a relay win. These honors were Florida State’s fourth and fifth weekly awards of the year, the team’s most in the fall half of the season since six were earned in 2022.
Following Friday’s meet, the Seminoles will travel to Athens, Georgia, to compete in the Georgia Invite from November 18-21 at Gabrielsen Natatorium.
