Gonzales Returns to Gator Talk Before Road Showdown

Last Updated: November 5, 2025By

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida football interim head coach Billy Gonzales returns to Gator Talk, presented by Dream Finders Homes, on Thursday before the Gators travel to Lexington, KY. Gonzales will be joined by this week’s host, Jeff Cardozo, live from 7-7:45 p.m. at Miller’s Ale House.

Gonzales, who was named Florida’s interim coach on Oct. 20, is in his 12th season in Gainesville. The veteran wide receivers coach was on staff for both national championships under Urban Meyer, before being brought back to The Swamp by Dan Mullen in 2018. Gonzales returned for his third stint at Florida in 2023 to coach receivers under Billy Napier.

Under his tutelage, as both WR coach and offensive coordinator, 31 players have been selected in the NFL draft.

All attendees will receive 10% off all non-discounted items at Miller’s Ale House, with their Thursday night special being prime rib.

Coverage of Gator Talk will start locally on 103.7 The Gator at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on 850 AM / 98.1 FM WRUF after the conclusion of Gators women’s basketball coverage. All stations will then lead into Gators men’s basketball pregame coverage, starting at 7:45 p.m., hosted by the Voice of the Gators, Sean Kelley, and analyst Brian Hogan.

Women’s basketball coverage will start at 5 p.m. on 850 AM / 98.1 FM WRUF.

Florida football interim head coach Billy Gonzales, along with select football student-athletes, will headline each of the three remaining shows. Each show will air from 7-8 p.m.

First-year Florida volleyball head coach Ryan Theis made his Gator Talk debut Sept. 25, while National championship-winning Florida basketball head coach Todd Golden appeared on the program’s Oct. 23 installation.

Gator Talk is a weekly hour-long program covering the latest in Gator athletics. The show is available across all 38 affiliates of the Gator Sports Network from LEARFIELD, the Florida Gators Mobile App, and on the Varsity Mobile App.

Fans are welcome to join the show as it airs from 7 – 8 p.m. at Gainesville’s Miller’s Ale House.
