Bulldogs Card Second-Best Score in Program History, Finish Third at Ka’anapali Classic

MAUI, Hawaii— The Georgia men’s golf team carded the second-best score in program history and finished third with a 47-under 805 at the Ka’anapali Classic held at the Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course. 

 

FAST FACTS:

  • Georgia shot 15-under par in round three to follow up on their record-breaking round two. The Bulldogs’ finish at 47-under par is the second-best tournament score in program history.

  • Senior Carter Loflin and freshman JD Culbreth were Georgia’s highest individual finishers, both tied for seventh and shot 13-under par. Loflin’s third round was bogey-free with five birdies. 

  • Sophomores Matt Maloney and James Earle both carded four-under par rounds on the final day to finish inside the top 20. Maloney finished tied for 11th, while Earle finished tied for 18th. 

  • Oklahoma won the tournament at 63-under par, followed by TCU in second at 51-under par. After Georgia in third, Florida Gulf Coast and Colorado rounded out the top five.

This concludes Georgia’s slate for the fall. The Bulldogs will resume tournament play February 9-11 at the Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
