A Very Happy Third Saturday of October

What a game and what a scene it was last Saturday night inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium! The football team rolled to an impressive 37-20 victory over then-No. 11 Tennessee which is the fourth straight game head coach Kalen DeBoer and his team have defeated a top 25 team – the first time in SEC history that any team defeated four straight AP Top 25 opponents with no open dates.

It was the team’s 16th consecutive win at home, matching Boise State for the longest active home winning streak in the country. I’ve said this a number of times, but your energy impacts the game and our student-athletes feed off it. Last Saturday night’s atmosphere was as electric as I’ve ever seen on our campus, so thank you!

The team will look to keep the momentum going on the road when Coach DeBoer leads the team at South Carolina Saturday afternoon at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C.

Bama Balled Out in Boutwell, Final Exhibition Games on Deck

Our men’s and women’s basketball teams tipped off the exhibition portion of the 2025-26 schedule on Oct. 16 at the Ballin’ at Boutwell event. Both teams faced the Florida State Seminoles and walked out with victories. Head coach Kristy Curry and her team were impressive during their 20-point victory (91-71) in the first game of the day. Nate Oats and the men followed that up with a thrilling 109-105 win.

Both teams will play their final exhibition games Sunday at 2 p.m. CT. Coach Curry will lead her team against West Florida in front of our home fans at Coleman Coliseum, while Coach Oats and the men’s squad will travel to Greenville, S.C., to take on a tough Furman team in a contest that will be televised on ESPN+.

The teams open the regular season on Monday, Nov. 3, with a doubleheader with the women tipping off at 4 p.m. vs. Stetson and the men following at 7 p.m. vs. North Dakota. Tickets for both games can still be purchased. We hope to see you for what will be an exciting night of hoops!

C.J. Mosley Named to 2025 SEC Legends Class

Congratulations to former linebacker C.J. Mosley, who was selected as Alabama’s representative in the 2025 Southeastern Conference Legends Class. Mosley will be honored in Atlanta as part of the SEC Football “Weekend of Champions,” highlighted by the annual SEC Legends Celebration on Friday, Dec. 5 at the College Football Hall of Fame. The Legends will also be recognized prior to the SEC Football Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Men’s Golf Shines

Our men’s golf team ended the fall season in grand fashion, claiming the team championship at the Fallen Oak Collegiate last weekend. The team used a final round score of 16-under par 272, which matched the fifth-lowest score vs. par in program history, to earn a share of the title. Thanks in large part its third-round performance, the Crimson Tide earned its second team title in the four tournaments played this fall, closing the event at 32-under par 832 (279-281-272).

In four tournaments, our men’s golf team has won two tournament titles, had two individual medalist honors and finished the fall season ranked No. 8 in the latest national rankings! What a start to the year it’s been for Coach Seawell and his team!

Gymnastics Prepares for Ghosts and Goblins Intrasquad Meet

The Ghosts and Goblins gymnastics intrasquad meet is back again for another year of tricks and treats! Coach Ashley Johnston and her team are excited to show off the 2026 team in the annual event that is free to the public. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the Halloween-themed intrasquad beginning at 6 p.m. in the Frances Smith Practice Facility at Coleman Coliseum.

Halloween Extravaganza is Monday

Join us next Monday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. for our annual Halloween Extravaganza hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The event is open to the community as kids, family and friends are invited to come out for a night filled with games, costumes and trick-or-treating! Best part is, the event is operated by our student-athletes. If you do attend, we encourage you to bring donations of non-perishable food items to support the Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger initiative to end hunger in West Alabama!

Volleyball Hosting a Pair of Ranked Opponents

Our volleyball team has a big weekend ahead inside Foster Auditorium and are looking to host a packed house with a pair of ranked opponents coming to Tuscaloosa. First, we welcome No. 16 Tennessee Friday night at 6 p.m. for Greek Night. On Sunday, the team takes on No. 3 Kentucky at 2 p.m. That contest will also feature Halloween trick-or-treating for the kids.

The team is riding some momentum after sweeping South Carolina, 3-0, to give the Crimson Tide its first SEC road win since 2022 and its first SEC road sweep since 2021!

Home Tennis Tournaments on the Horizon

Fans will have a chance to see both our men’s and women’s tennis teams in action over the next two weekends at home.

First, Coach George Husack and the men’s team hosts the Crimson Tide Fall Challenge this weekend. The action will take place Friday through Sunday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. If you are unable to make it out, fans can watch all the action here.

On the following weekend, Coach Jonatan Berhane and our women’s team will host the annual Roberta Alison Fall Classic on Oct. 31-Nov. 1. The two-day event always features some of the top tennis action in the southeast, and this year should be no different!

Fall Ball Winds Down for Baseball, Softball

Our baseball team will close out its fall exhibition slate this weekend when it travels to Clemson, S.C., to take on the Tigers on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, the softball team will take on Copiah-Lincoln on Friday afternoon with a doubleheader set to begin at 3 p.m. at the Rhoads House and will then close out Fall Ball with a 10-inning contest against Mercer on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund

As we near the midpoint of the fall semester, our student-athletes have been hard at work pursuing excellence in competition and in the classroom. You can support their educational goals by contributing to the Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund (CTSF). The CTSF provides annual scholarship support for our student-athletes, offsetting the costs of tuition, educational fees, books, and room and board. Donors to the CTSF earn three Tide Totals priority points per $100 donated. To donate, visit www.crimsontidefoundation.org/ctsf.

University Spotlight

We recently hosted ESPN College GameDay back on Oct. 4 when the football team played Vanderbilt, and there was a neat story of University of Alabama chemical engineering student Gabby Mathis. Gabby was picked to kick the field goal by host Pat McAfee and what ensued was a memorable experience for her.

It was also cool reading about her experience at the University and just how powerful the Alabama brand is. It just goes to show you how the smallest thing can be a life-changing experience. Hope you enjoy!

#RollTideFriday

I came across a great photo that was submitted to me from Mandy Wyatt that I wanted to share. As you know, it is so special to see the photos of our passionate fans wearing their Alabama colors around the world. The brand is truly recognized anywhere you go. This particular photo shows UA alums from the state of Alabama visiting Vatican City as part of the UA National Alumni Association Tour of Italy. Roll Tide from Rome!
