TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 7 Florida State soccer team hosts Cal on Sunday, October 19, at 1 p.m. ET, at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
General admission single-game seating is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis for each regular-season home game in 2025 for all fans without reserved midfield season tickets. Sunday is the team’s Global Noles Match, and there will be a drawstring bag giveaway while supplies last.

Florida State is 8-2-2 on the season and tied for fourth place in the ACC with 13 points and a 4-2-1 record after a 2–1 loss to No. 2 Stanford on Thursday night. The Seminoles are 5-1-0 at home, 3-1-2 on the road and 1-2-0 against top-25 foes. FSU has shut out its opponent in eight of 12 games, with multi-goal victories in each of the eight wins. Cal comes to Tallahassee with an 8-2-7 record and a 4-1-3 mark in the ACC to sit in third place.
Florida State has scored 34 goals with 36 assists on 221 shots and 94 shots on goal. In 12 games, the team has allowed eight goals on 75 shots, 28 on target, with 20 saves, a 0.67 goals-against average and a .714 save percentage.
Junior forward Jordynn Dudley leads the team with nine assists, 19 points and 41 shots and is second with five goals. She is on a 10-game point streak, with multiple points in five of the last six games. Sophomore forward Wrianna Hudson paces the squad with eight goals and 18 shots on goal and is second with 31 shots and 16 points. In goal, redshirt sophomore Addie Todd has made 17 saves in her nine appearances for a .708 save percentage and a 0.84 goals-against average.
In the national rankings, FSU is No. 4 in the country in shutout percentage (.667), No. 7 in goals per game (2.83), assists per game (3.00) and points per game (8.67), No. 8 in shots per game (18.42), No. 10 in goal differential (+26) and No. 23 in shots on goal per game (7.83).
Individually, Dudley is second in the NCAA in assists per game (0.75) and third with nine total assists, while Hudson is 29th in goals per game (0.67).
In the polls, Florida State checks in at No. 7 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches top-25. The Seminoles also are fifth in this week’s Top Drawer Soccer poll. In the latest RPI, FSU is No. 10, while the team is No. 6 in the first DI Top-16 Committee Rankings, unveiled on October 12.
NOLES AT THE WORLD CUP
Freshman goalkeeper Evan O’Steen and freshman forward Nyanya Touray are representing FSU, and the United States, at the 2025 U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco from October 17-November 8. O’Steen and Touray are two of the 21 players selected to the U.S. U-17 National Team. Team USA opens the tournament against Ecuador on Saturday, October 18 at 3 p.m. ET. The U.S. then faces China PR on October 21 at 12 p.m. ET before finishing Group C play against Norway on October 24 at 9 a.m. ET. The top two teams from each group, plus the four best third-place teams, advance out of the 24-team group stage into the Round of 16.
SERIES HISTORY VS. CAL
Florida State is 3-0-0 all-time against Cal, with all three meetings coming in Tallahassee in the NCAA Tournament. The first matchup was a 2-1 win in the 2005 NCAA Third Round, followed by a 3-1 victory a year later in the 2006 Second Round. Three years passed before the next game, a 3-0 FSU win in the 2009 NCAA Second Round. The 2005 and 2006 victories came on the Seminoles’ road to their second and third NCAA College Cup appearances in program history.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS
Cal is 8-2-7 in 2025 and 4-1-3 in the ACC for 15 points and a spot in third place. The Golden Bears are 5-1-3 at home, 3-1-4 on the road and 0-0-1 against top-25 opponents. UC has won two in a row and is unbeaten in its last three, beginning with a 2-2 home draw to then-No. 1 Virginia. The Bears began their weekend roadtrip with a 2-0 win at Miami on Thursday.
In this week’s United Soccer Coaches poll, Cal is receiving votes.
The Golden Bears have scored 22 goals with 20 assists on 201 shots, 88 on goal. They have allowed 14 goals and made 74 saves. Lumi Kostmayer leads the team with six goals and 14 points and three players have three assists. Teagan Wy has played every minute in goal with a .839 save percentage and a 0.82 goals-against average.
LAST TIME OUT: RALLY FALLS SHORT IN TOP-10 MATCHUP
Florida State’s comeback bid came up one goal short in a 2-1 loss to No. 2 Stanford on October 16. Playing their second No. 2-ranked team in as many games, the Seminoles trailed 2-0 in the first half, but got to within one with an 84th-minute goal by Dudley. However, despite facing extended offensive pressure in the final six minutes, the Cardinal prevented the tying goal to extend their win streak to six.
With the loss, Florida State’s home unbeaten streak was snapped at 33 consecutive games. The stretch, which began late in the 2022 season, was third-longest in program history. The team’s 84th-minute goal extended their school-record goal streak to 67 consecutive games.
FSU out-shot Stanford 16-9 and the Cardinal had a 6-5 edge in shots on goal. The home side earned five corner kicks and the visitors had three. Dudley had a game-best six shots, two on goal, and senior defender Heather Gilchrist and Hudson both had two shots. In goal, Todd made a season-high four saves, one short of tying her career high. Her Cardinal counterpart also stopped four shots.
