Walton County Public Works Announces Temporary Road Closure

Walton County Public Works announces that West Mossy Head Main Street will undergo a resurfacing project beginning Monday, October 20, 2025, until the project is completed. This essential work will necessitate a full closure of East Mossy Head Main Street from the cemetery near the industrial park to South Mossy Head 2^nd Street, impacting a length of 0.39 miles.

This closure will take place daily from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The road closure is necessary to ensure the safety of work crews and the public while the resurfacing project is completed. 

Closure Details:

• Date: Monday, October 20.2025 until the project is completed.
• Location: West Mossy Head Main Street between S Mossy Head 2^nd Street and the cemetery near the Industrial Park
• Reason: Resurfacing Project 
• Traffic Impact: Closed to thru traffic
• Message Boards will be placed this week to provide notice of closure.
