  • The Georgia men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams come together for their first combined meet of the season Wednesday at South Carolina. The Georgia men opened the season with a 224.5-73.5 victory at UNC Wilmington.
  • Tom Cousins Women’s Swimming and Diving Head Coach Stefanie Williams Moreno is beginning her fourth season at the helm of the Georgia women. Williams Moreno is joined by assistant coaches Fernando Rodriguez and Jerry Champer for the 53rd season of the program’s history.
  • The Georgia men are looking to continue the dominance shown in their season-opening win at UNC Wilmington. Sophomore Drew Hitchcock posted four victories, including a butterfly sweep and 200 IM win. Graduate Luca Urlando earned wins in the 200y freestyle and 200y backstroke, with junior Tomas Koski and sophomore Elliot Woodburn each grabbing a pair of events. In diving, junior Matthew Bray swept the springboards with scores of 293.10 (1-meter) and 281.10 (3-meter).
  • In last season’s meet at South Carolina, Urlando announced his return to the collegiate scene with A-cut times in both butterfly events, with both entering the top-five marks in program history.
  • The Georgia women return six All-Americans from last season’s roster, highlighted by Helena Jones, who finished 14th in the 100y freestyle at the NCAA Championships. Jones is part of a strong freestyle group which includes sophomores Marie Landreneau and Katie Belle Sikes. Senior Ieva Maluka was an SEC finalist last season in the 200y IM and provides incredible depth for the Bulldogs.
  • Following the graduation of a talented senior class featuring NCAA champion Abby McCulloh and SEC champion Rachel Stege, the Bulldogs welcomed 11 newcomers to the 2025-26 roster. Pennsylvania native Kennedi Dobson leads the group after a tremendous junior career, concluding with two relay medals and a pair of top-five finishes at the World Aquatics Junior Championships in August. Dobson was recently named to both the USA Swimming National Team and 2026 Pan Pacific Championships roster. Along with Dobson, four freshmen competed at this summer’s U.S. National Championships: Izzy Beu, Maeve Eckerman, Elizabeth Nawrocki, and Clarke Neace.
  • The Georgia women’s diving team returns senior Hannah Stumpf and junior Michelle Cummo, who both qualified for Zones last season. Freshman Leah McCarthy joins the roster after placing top-eight on 1-meter at the Georgia state championships in all four years at Mill Creek High School.

No. 9/12 Georgia travels to Atlanta for The Dual Meet Invitational, running Oct. 17-18 at Georgia Tech’s McAuley Aquatic Center. The Bulldogs will open up against George Washington on Friday, Oct. 17 at 8:30 a.m., followed by a second meet against Auburn or Minnesota at 3 p.m. The event will conclude with one additional meet against NC State, Army, Florida State, or Georgia Tech on Saturday at a time to be determined.
