Women’s Golf Wraps Up Day One of the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah

Medinah, Ill. – The Alabama women’s golf team wrapped up its first 36 holes of the Illini Women’s Invitational Medinah, sitting in 12th place at 1-over par 577 (291-286). Mattison Frick led the way for the Crimson Tide, ending the day in 20th place on the player leaderboard at 2-under par 142 (71-71). 

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • After two rounds scoring under par, Mattison Frick now has four rounds this season scoring par or lower and sits tied for 20that 2-under par 142 (71-71)
  • Sitting in a tie for 39th overall, Ryan Flynn carded an even-par 144 (73-71)
  • Natachanok Tunwannarux carded a 1-over par 145 (73-72), ending the day in a tie for 48th overall
  • In her first apperance in the lineup this season, freshman Grace Crawford is tied in 51st place at 2-over par 146 (74-72)
  • Harriet Lockley rounded out UA’s lineup in 65th overall at 4-over par 148 (74-74)

TEAM RESULTS

  • UCF sits in first place on the team leaderboard at 24-under par 552 (279-273)
  • Auburn’s Balma Davalos sits atop the player leaderboard at 9-under par 135 (67-68)
  • The Crimson Tide will wrap up the Illini Invitational at Medinah on Tuesday, Oct. 7
