Florida leads into final round of OU Intercollegiate

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The No. 14 Florida women’s golf team leads the OU Intercollegiate with all six golfers competing inside the top-19 through 18-holes at Prairie Dunes Golf Club on Monday. 

Due expected weather in the area, the tournament has been altered to 36-holes with the final round set for tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.. Play was suspended due to darkness today. 

Florida shot a team round of 287 (+7) and have one shot lead over Baylor (+8) followed by third-place Kansas State (+10). The next closest teams feature Eastern Michigan and Oklahoma State, who the Gators are 10-shots ahead of. 

Sophomores Addison Klonowski and Siuue Wu had the low rounds for UF with a pair of 71s (+1) and are tied for 3rd. Wu leads the field in pars (15) and Klonowski second in birdies (4) as she began her round with back-to-back. 

One shot back of the underclassmen duo is graduate transfer Megan Propeck in T11. She logged an opening round of 72 (+2) as she made birdie on the highest-scoring hole today, the par4 11th which played 4.88 (+0.86).

Both tied for 16th consist of Paula Francisco and Elaine Widjaja as they both carded 73 (+2). 

With one hole to play sits freshman Katelyn Huber, who is competing as an individual. She owns the lone birdie of the tournament on the 18th hole (par4, 380 yards).
