Football’s Annual Opponents, 2026-29 Foes Released on Tuesday

Last Updated: September 23, 2025By

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama football’s annual opponents along with the Crimson Tide’s future home/away schedules for the 2026-29 seasons are set, the Southeastern Conference office announced Tuesday evening.

Alabama’s annual opponents will be Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee. Annual opponents were determined based on traditional rivalries, neutral site games and historical long-time series. Additional considerations for annual opponents included competitive fairness, geography and alignment with future non-conference home/away commitments. The league’s annual opponents will be evaluated after each four-year cycle to maintain a continued competitive balance.

The remaining six league games come from a rotating pool of the other conference teams. The rotating schedule ensures that each school will play every other SEC opponent at least once every two years and at least twice (home and away) over a four-year period.

With nine conference games, eight schools will play five home games each season and eight schools will play four home games. The home/away determination was made with the intent of providing seven home games for each school while balancing existing home/away commitments to annual non-conference rivalry games.
