Georgia Improves to 5-0, Sweeps Duke on Friday
 
ATHENS, Ga.  – The University of Georgia volleyball team stayed perfect on the season, sweeping the Duke Blue Devils in straight sets (30-28, 25-21, 25-23) on Friday at Stegeman Coliseum to close out action at the 2025 Classic City Clash.
 
Georgia improves to 5-0 on the season with its fourth sweep to start 2025.

  • Junior Bianna Muoneke registered her second-straight double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs. She added three aces in the contest.
  • Freshman setter Chloe Elarton recorded the first double-double of her career with 17 assists and 11 digs. The pair co-led the team in digs.
  • Sophomore MK Patten laid down 10 kills, her second double-digit kill performance of the tournament.
  • Redshirt-sophomore Tori Harper tied a career-high with eight blocks to lead the team. She also had a pair of aces.
  • The Bulldogs trailed by seven (19-12) in the opening set, then won eight of the next 10 points to cut the Duke lead to one, 21-20. Duke drew set point 24-20, but a Harper serving run tied it at 24 to keep the set alive. After a lengthy battle, the Bulldogs used back-to-back blocks to win the set 30-28. Seven of Muoneke’s kills came in the first set.
  • Georgia led by seven (12-5) in the third set, but Duke used an 8-1 run to tie it at 13. It was a back-and-forth battle after that. Tied at 23, a block and Muoneke’s 13th kill sealed the sweep for the Bulldogs.
