ITA Preseason Rankings Name Four Gators
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has placed four Gators in their preseason rankings that was released on Aug. 26, 2025.
Junior Jeremy Jin is the only athlete to be ranked as a singles player, coming at No. 45 on the list. Last season, Jin finished his fall season ranked No. 41 by the ITA after collecting an 8-4 record. Of his eight wins, three of them were against ranked opponents including a win over No. 13 Sebastian Dominko of Notre Dame. Jin advanced to the quarterfinals during the ITA Sectionals to secure a spot in the NCAA Championship tournament.
Junior Henry Jefferson and senior Tanapatt Nirundorn were ranked together at No. 33 for their doubles play. In the Fall 2024 season, Jefferson and Nirundorn ranked No. 16 in doubles and had a 6-3 record overall and a 3-1 record against ranked opponents. The pair earned the Doubles Title at the ITA Southeast Regional Championship and competed in the NCAA Championship tournament.
Coming from Cyprus to play for the Gators, freshman Andreas Timini also earned a nod from the ITA by being placed in the No. 9 spot for the newcomer rankings that were released. Timini comes into Florida being ranked No. 1064 by the ATP and has competed around the world in several pro tournaments. Travelling to Serbia, Morocco and Greece for tournaments this summer, Timini amassed an 11-7 singles record and a 3-4 doubles record.
