Kessler and Danilina to Represent Florida in US Open Main Draw

McCartney Kessler and Anna Danilina have secured spots in the 2025 US Open and will compete for a Grand Slam title in their respective draw.

FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y.– Former Gators McCartney Kessler and Anna Danilina have earned places in the 2025 US Open main draw and will represent the University of Florida on one of tennis’ greatest stages starting Aug. 24.
 
Kessler, a member of the Gators from 2018–22, secured her spot in the women’s singles draw following a strong season on the WTA Tour. Kessler has recently soared through the ranks with three career singles titles and stands at No. 34 in the rankings.
 
Danilina, who competed for Florida from 2013–17, returns to Flushing Meadows in the doubles main draw. Currently among the world’s top doubles players, Danilina is a veteran of Grand Slam play and claimed the US Open mixed doubles title in 2023, alongside Harri Heliovaara.
 
The 2025 US Open will take place from August 24 through September 7 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York. Play begins daily at 11 a.m. ET, with evening sessions scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
