Last Updated: August 15, 2025By

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia men’s tennis team is set for five tournaments this fall culminating with the 2025 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, head coach Jamie Hunt announced on Friday.

The Bulldogs will kick off the fall with the Battle of the Bay Tournament in San Francisco, California from September 11-14, hosted by the California Tennis Club. Last fall, new signee Derrick Chen featured in the singles and doubles draw reaching the round of 16 as an individual.

Georgia will then feature in the ITA All-American Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa from September 20-28. There have been five different Bulldog champions of the singles draw at the All-American Championships with Mikael Pernfors – 1984, Al Parker – 1989 and 1990, John Isner – 2005, Travis Helgeson – 2007 and Ethan Quinn – 2022.

Next, the Bulldogs will travel to Gainesville, Florida for the ITA Southeast Regional Championships, this year hosted by the University of Florida. Last season, former Bulldog Miguel Perez Peña was crowned the co-champion of the ITA Southeast Regional in Athens, a year removed from being heralded as the sole champion of the tournament in 2023.

Georgia will host the ITA South Sectional Championships from November 6-9 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Last November, former Bulldog Oscar Pinto Sansano defeated No. 62 Andrii Zimnokh in a playoff quarterfinal to secure his spot in the NCAA singles tournament. Also from November 6-9, select Bulldogs will feature in the ITA Conference Masters in San Diego, California at the Barnes Tennis Center. In last year’s addition, former Bulldog Thomas Paulsell also qualified for the NCAA singles tournament after reaching the semi-finals of the competition.

Fall action concludes with the 2025 NCAA Singles and Doubles Tournament at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida from November 18-23.

The ITA All-American Championships, ITA Southeast Regional, ITA South Sectional and ITA Conference Masters tournaments all act as qualifiers for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Tournament. In the All-American Championships, 10 singles and four doubles will qualify. At the Southeast Regional, the two singles finalists and the doubles champion will qualify, as well. At the South Sectional, two singles playoff quarterfinalists, four singles semi-finalists and the top three doubles pairings will qualify, and at the Conference Masters, the four singles semifinalists and the top three doubles pairings will qualify.
