Paul Named to Hermann Trophy Watch List
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– Alabama forward Gianna Paul was named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List, the United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday.
The Hermann Trophy is the highest individual honor awarded in intercollegiate soccer and is given to the best individual male and female player, as voted on by NCAA Division I soccer coaches and announced by the United Soccer Coaches and Missouri Athletic Club (MAC). Paul is one of 43 players to be named to the watch list for the prestigious award, joining All-Americans and First Team All-Region selections from the year prior. A group of 15 semifinalists will be announced on Dec. 2 at the conclusion of the 2025 All-American voting.

- Named to three watch lists ahead of the 2025 season, earning honors from the Southeastern Conference’s Preseason Watchlist, the United Soccer Coaches’ Players to Watch – Forwards List and TopDrawerSoccer’s Preseason Best XI Third Team
- Was named a 2024 All-American as well as a First Team All-SEC selection for the 2024 season
- Earned USC First Team All-Southeast honors for the second straight year in 2024
- Pace the Tide in both goals (12) and points (25) last season, in addition to finishing the season ranked 17th nationally in game-winning goals (5) and 27th in total goals (12)
- Her 12 goals ranked her third all-time in program history while also moving her to third in career goals with 28
- 2024 College Sports Communicator All-District honoree
