Gators Duo Honored with Cape Cod League Team Awards
In earning major awards from their teams, both Lawson and Rodriguez helped successfully navigate the Whitecaps and Mariners into the 2025 CCBL Playoffs, which run from Aug. 5-13.
Although Lawson joined Brewster late in the summer and played in just 23 games, that was more than enough runway for the rising sophomore to make an impact. Across 81 at bats, Lawson slashed .333/.398/.519 for a robust .917 OPS. That was accompanied by a team-high four homers, three doubles, 13 RBI, 12 runs and one stolen base. The Canadian product provided that offensive output while logging innings the hot corner and first base.
