Florida at Duke meet for the first time since Nov. 2017.
The defending national champion Florida men’s basketball team will visit Duke in the ACC-SEC Challenge on Tuesday, Dec. 2, ESPN announced on Thursday.
Florida and Duke meet for the first time since the Phil Knight Invitational championship game at Portland, Oregon, in Nov. 2017, and it will mark UF’s first visit to Durham since 1998. UF’s most recent victory in the series came in the NCAA Sweet 16 vs. a No. 1 Duke team in 2000 on the way to Florida’s first national championship game appearance. Though UF trails the all-time series, 4-14, only seven of those 18 all-time meetings have come within the last 55 years (2-5).
In addition to the ACC-SEC Challenge, the Gators already have announced marquee nonconference showdowns vs. Arizona (Las Vegas) and UConn (New York) and a Thanksgiving tournament field of Providence, TCU and Wisconsin (San Diego).
