Walton County Public Works Continues Construction Projects

Walton County – May 19, 2025 – Walton County Public Works in-house crews have been busy working on several vital infrastructure projects. Below is a summary of the latest progress:

Perkins Road Resurfacing Project

Our asphalt crew has done a commendable job completing the overlay on McBroom Road. They are now focusing their efforts on overlaying the milled asphalt on Perkins Road.

Karli Court Dirt-to-Pave Project

The transition of Karli Court from a dirt road to a paved surface is progressing well. Our stabilization crew is actively preparing the road for paving.

Forest Shore Road Drainage Improvements

Work continues to enhance the drainage system along Forest Shore Road. These improvements are essential for reducing flood risks and promoting more effective water management, benefitting residents and the local environment.

Karli Court Paving Project

S. Norwood Road Sidewalk

Steady progress is being made on the new sidewalk along South Norwood Road. This project is designed to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety, offering a secure pathway for walkers and enhancing community walkability.

Paxton Senior Center Retention Pond

The bridge crew is mobilizing at the Paxton Senior Center to begin construction of the baffle wall for the new retention pond.
