Four Gators Earn IWLCA All-American Honors, Headlined by First Team Selection Theresa Bragg

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida lacrosse team had four players recognized among the IWLCA All-Americans, announced Thursday afternoon. A total of 48 players received accolades, among first team, second team and third team.

Theresa Bragg earned first team, along with Kaitlyn Davies, Frannie Hahn and Gianna Monaco, who earned third team honors.

Bragg is the 16th Gator all-time to receive IWLCA First Team All-America honors and the second defender, joining Sam Farrell who was named IWLCA First Team All-American in 2012.

Florida has now had 44 total IWLCA All-Americans.

Theresa Bragg – Defender – Junior – Severna Park, Md.

Bragg has started all 66 games in her career at Florida, leading the Gators with 29 caused turnovers this season. The captain has also totaled 23 ground balls and five draw controls, helping the Gators have the sixth best scoring defense in the country (8.95 goals/game allowed).

Bragg was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big 12 Tournament on May 3, while previously earning Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-America Second Team, USA Lacrosse All-American honorable mention, IWLCA South Region First Team and Nike Lacrosse Honorable Mention Media All-American.  

Kaitlyn Davies – Midfielder – Junior – Wayne, N.J.

Davies has started all 22 games this season for Florida, posting 50 goals, eight assists, 29 ground balls, 20 caused turnovers, and 46 draw controls. She is the first Gators midfielder to total 50 or more goals in a season since Shannon Kavanaugh did it in 2021.

The captain has nine hat-tricks this season, earning Big 12 Midfielder of the Year, USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team, Inside Lacrosse Midseason Second Team All-America honors, IWLCA South Region First Team and Nike Lacrosse Second Team Media All-American.

Frannie Hahn – Attacker – Redshirt Freshman – Catonsville, Md.

Hahn has totaled 91 points on 32 goals and 59 assists this season, breaking the all-time single season assists record at UF. She has recorded an assist in every game this season, taking home Big 12 Freshman of the Year.

The attacker was named to the USA Lacrosse All-American Third Team, earned Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American honorable mention, IWLCA South Region First Team and Nike Lacrosse Third Team Media All-American.

Gianna Monaco – Attacker – Junior – Mount Laurel, N.J.

Monaco leads the Gators in goals (73) and points (93) on the season, as she became just the seventh player in program history to record 70 or more goals in a season. The attacker recorded seven goals and eight points in the NCAA First Round against Mercer, tying a program NCAA Tournament game record.

Monaco was named to the All-Big 12 Team, All-Big 12 Tournament Team and earned IWLCA South Region First Team along with Nike Lacrosse Honorable Mention Media All-American.
