Ten Gators Named to Outdoor Track and Field All-SEC Squads
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ten Florida Gator Student Athletes have been selected for All-SEC Teams following their performances at the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Lexington, Ky.
The teams were selected based on their finishes in respective events, with gold medalists earning a first-team nod, silver medalists earning second-team honors, and bronze medalists rounding out the third-team group. Selections cannot be named to multiple teams.
Women’s teams
First Team
Anthaya Charlton
Anthaya Charlton win of the Women’s Long Jump at the conference meet stands as one highlight in a breakout season that includes and NCAA all-time No. 2 indoor Long Jump, the current NCAA No. 2 outdoor Long Jump for 2025, a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships and now an SEC outdoor title. The individual championship is the first of her career at the conference or national level. Her 6.47m [21′ 2.75″] third attempt was enough to stave off the competition.
Charlton added a bronze medal in the 100m before the meet concluded, and ran the second leg of the Gators’ sixth-place 4x100m relay effort.
Habiba Harris
Harris, the SEC Champion in the 100m Hurdles, has authored one of the most tantalizing freshman campaigns in NCAA this season. The native of Santa Cruz, Jamaica joined the Gators in January, and redshirted for her first Indoor season as she quickly transitioned into the NCAA level and an SEC training regimen.
Making her debut this outdoor season, she set the collegiate lead in the 100m Hurdles at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville. Her wind-aided 12.69 stood as the nation’s top mark until the SEC Championships preliminary round, when Harris reset her own season best at a wind-legal 12.62. Her prelim mark set a new No. 2 time in program history and made her the favorite heading into Saturday’s championship race.
The Freshman added to her legend on the meet’s final day, running a 12.75 time and claiming the SEC 100m Hurdles crown in her first championship race at the collegiate level. Now, already boasting a gold medal pedigree as a first-year, she looks to be among the favorites for the national title.
Alida van Daalen
Alida van Daalen, a 2024 USTFCCCA All-American in the Discus and Olympian for the Netherlands, entered Saturday as the reigning SEC Women’s Discus champion. She easily defended her crown, posting a season-best 65.24m [214′ 0″], a full 26 feet further than the silver-medal mark. She lead the field from her first attempt, and her fourth throw held as her best.
Van Daalen also added three points with her sixth-place finish in the Women’s Shot Put.
Van Daalen’s return to prominence was nearly equally as unlikely as Harris’s, as she dealt with Injuries and setbacks in the fall that kept her sidelined during the indoor slate. Now, back in her dominant form, she looks to claim her first NCAA Discus title.
Second Team
Hilda Olemomoi
In the Women’s 10,000m, Hilda Olemomoi earned her second SEC Silver medal of the 2025 slate, adding to her runner-up finish in the 3000m at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Trans-Mara, Kenya native still finished an impressive 15 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher
Olemomoi added a 4th place finish in the 1500m final on the meet’s final day.
Olemomoi’s 33:15.52 time stands as the No. 4 10,000m time in Florida’s program history, and the No. 35 time in NCAA this season.
Men’s Teams
Third Team
Jacob Lemmon
Jacob Lemmon claimed bronze in the Men’s Discus, courtesy of a substantial personal best of 61.80m [202′ 9″] on his fifth attempt. The 2024 USTFCCCA All-American in the Discus with Virginia, now holds the No. 2 Discus throw mark in Florida’s program history, and his mark stands as the No. 12 Throw in the nation for the 2025 season.
Malcolm Clemons
Malcolm Clemons posted a season-best 7.91m [25′ 11.5″] mark in the Men’s Long Jump, and earned himself SEC Bronze in the process. Clemons’ performance marked a milestone in his comeback, as he reached the podium after an indoor season in which he was hampered by injury and failed to reach the final jumps at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Now, back in the condition that made him an Olympian in 2024, Clemons appears poised for a strong run in the NCAA Championship meets.
Ashton Schwartzman, Rios Prude Jr., Reheem Hayles, Jenoah McKiver
the Gators’ 4x400m relay squad combined for a 3:03.27 time, good for the SEC Bronze medal. The race featured particularly promising third and anchor legs from Hayles and McKiver.
The Gators still hold the collegiate lead in the 4x400m Relay after running a 3:01.52 at the Tom Jones Memorial Invite on April 18, and will be the No. 1 seed in the event heading into the NCAA Outdoor Championship Meets.
