CARLSBAD, Calif. – Florida State junior Mirabel Ting has earned the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel as the nation’s top collegiate women’s golfer in a ceremony at the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa. Ting, the nation’s leader with five individual victories this season, is the first Florida State golfer to win the award.

Ting is currently the No. 1 ranked player in the NCAA by Scoreboard by Clippd and the No. 2 ranked player in the world as ranked by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

Ting finished as the runner-up in stroke play at the NCAA Division I Championships on Monday. She finished in second place in the individual standings with scores of 70-71-69-68 for a four-round total of 10 under par 278. Her score of 278 and her score vs. par of -10 are both school records for stroke play in the NCAA Tournament. Ting’s second place finish ties teammate Lottie Woad for the best individual finish in the NCAA Championship; Woad finished second in the 2024 NCAA Championship. Ting’s score of 278 and 10 strokes under par also established new school records – besting Woad’s scores of 279 and 9 strokes under par in 2024.

Ting was named the 2025 ACC Golfer of the Year and to the All-ACC team after leading the Seminoles to the first ACC Championship in school history on April 19 at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Ting is the second consecutive Florida State player and the fourth Seminole to be named the ACC Golfer of the Year. Woad was named as the ACC Golfer of the Year in 2024. Beatrice Wallin won the award in 2021 and Frida Kinhult shared the award in 2019.

Ting earned five individual championships this season with wins at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, the Schooner Fall Classic, the Collegiate Invitational at the Guadalajara Country Club, the Briar’s Creek Invitational, and the Florida State Match Up. In eight collegiate events, Ting finished first five times, second twice (at the NCAA Lexington Regional Championships and NCAA Championship Finals) and third once (at the ACC Championship). Ting finished lower than third only once (tied for sixth at the Moon Invitational) and finished her junior season 80 strokes under par – for the entire year.

Ting is the second golfer from the ACC to win the award joining Leona Maguire from Duke who won the nation’s premier individual award for a collegiate golfer in both 2015 and 2017. A total of four players from current ACC schools have now won the award six times including Stanford’s Rachel Heck in 2021 and Rose Zhang in 2022 and 2023.

A golfer from a current ACC school has now won the ANNIKA Award in four of the last five years.
