Michaela Edenfield was selected by the Volts with eighth pick in the second round of the AUSL Draft on Saturday night. Edenfield was one of 12 college players who were selected in the draft. 
 
Edenfield joins former Seminoles Kalei Harding and Jessi Warren in the AUSL as the duo was selected in the inaugural draft in January. Edenfield and Warren will be teammates on the Volts. 
 
Edenfield will end her Florida State career as one of the most prolific hitters and one of the most recognizable figures to wear the Garnet and Gold. Edenfield has hit 52 career home runs which is third all-time and driven in 197 runs in her career which is fifth in school history. Edenfield will also finish in the top 10 in career slugging percentage, walks and putouts. Edenfield is a three-time All-ACC selection and earned NFCA Third Team All-America honors in 2024. In 2025, Edenfield is hitting .339 with eight home runs and 45 RBI. 
 
The AUSL will consist of two parts: the regular season and the All-Star Cup. The regular season will be 48 games in June and July and will culminate in a team championship between the four teams: the Bandits, the Blaze, the Talons and the Volts. The All-Star Cup is 24 games and will be culminate with an individual champion. Opening day is set for June 7 in Rosemont, Illinois.
