GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Junior midfielder Gabbi Koury earned Big 12 Midfielder of the Week honors following her four-point performance against Mercer, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Birchrunville, Pa. native, Koury tallied four points (3 G/1 A) and a season high five draw controls in the Gators 23-9 win over Mercer. Koury’s three goals and one assist is the second straight game with that stat line, as she tallied three goals and one assist against Navy.

This is Koury’s second straight Big 12 Midfielder of the Week honor and her third conference player of the week honor in her career. Koury is currently third on the team in goals with 12, fourth in assists with 14 and second in draw controls with 17.

This is the third straight week where the Gators are represented in the Big 12 Player of the week honors, and the fifth total Big 12 player of the week honor with four players earning those honors.

The Gators are back in action on Saturday when they head to Kennesaw State to take on the Owls on March 14 at 11 a.m.
