“What a night. Had good practices (outdoors) going into the match only to have Mother Nature change her mind on weather. So, we went indoors and battled. They were sharper in doubles, but we responded so well in singles. We liked our matchups at every position in singles and away we went. The crowd was large and loud. Our guys stayed calm and strong. So happy for them, and for Vit to be back in a clinching position again. A great victory for the program but it’s only SEC match No. 4 in this young season. We’ve got to come back better on Sunday against a tough Auburn team. But for now it feels good.”

• Alabama’s win over the Bulldogs was the team’s first against a top-10 opponent since it upset No. 5 Southern California in 2024
• The match was the second come-from-behind, 4-3 SEC win for the Tide this season as Alabama also trailed 2-0 early to Arkansas (3/1)
• The win was the fifth in a row for the Tide and second consecutive in SEC play
• All four of UA’s singles wins came at the top of the lineup as Vit Kalina, Andrii Zimnokh, Matic Kriznik and Yoshka Sborowsky claimed a point
• Additionally, Zimnokh, Kriznik and Sborowsky all secured a win in straight sets
• Kalina dominated his third set, taking a 5-0 lead before giving up a game to the Bulldogs
