GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators fought till the end against No. 18 Texas A&M, but take a 4-1 loss to the Aggies.  

The Gators started strong by taking their first doubles point in four matches, going up 1-0 over the Aggies. The team started down in on every court, but fought back to take courts one and two to clinch the point. No. 20 Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn earned their first ranked win back together against No. 29 Togan Tokac and Theo Papamalamis going 6-4. Kevin Edengren and Andreas Timini followed up with a win on court three going 7-6 (7-1) against Lathan Skrobarcek and Alex Frusina. The pairing of Lorenzo Claverie and Pablo Perez Ramos left their match unfinished against Tiago Pires and Markus Molder at 5-5.

Moving into singles play the Gators saw a shift in momentum in favor of the Aggies. Jefferson, Edengren and Timini all fell in straight sets on courts one, five and six. The last three courts all went to a third set with Claverie and Nirundorn were up in their third sets before their matches went unfinished due to Ramos falling to No. 86 Alex Frusina.
