ATHENS, GA.—–Eighth-ranked Georgia faces Queens University of Charlotte starting Friday in a four-game series at Foley Field. First pitch will be at 3:02 p.m. and be available on SECN+ and the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network.

The Bulldogs (11-3) are 1-1 this week, posting an 11-1 run-rule road win in eight innings over Kennesaw State and then dropping a 10-9 thriller to Western Carolina at Foley Field. The Royals are 4-8 on the year with a road win over South Carolina earlier this season. Most recently, they fell 9-2 to No. 13 N.C. State on Wednesday. Georgia leads the all-time series 1-0 as the Royals visited Foley Field last year.

*Georgia ranks second nationally with four shutouts and 10th nationally in strikeouts/nine innings (12.0).

*Queens has a 6.09 ERA with 75 strikeouts and 65 walks. Opponents are hitting .261. 

 

Georgia Hitters To Watch

            *For the season, Georgia is batting .352 with an NCAA-best 43 home runs. Meanwhile, Queens is batting .208 with eight home runs, 41 runs scored, a .338 SLG% and .305 OB%.

            *Also, Georgia leads the nation in Slugging Percentage (.705) and is 3rd in OB Percentage (.484).  

*Junior C/OF Daniel Jackson (.393-10-24) is tied for first nationally in home runs (Will Gasparino, UCLA) and third overall in RBI. Jackson has a career-best 11-game hitting streak while INF/OF Ryan Black (.341-3-10) and INF Michael O’Shaughnessy (.393-4-12) have career-high eight-game hitting streaks. Black had led off the last six games and reached base to start in all six (1-HR, 2-1B, 3-BB).

            *Senior UTIL Brennan Hudson (.346-7-15) ranks 3rd nationally in SLG% (1.154). Of his nine hits on the year, seven are home runs. He hit three home runs with 7 RBI in the Oakland series last week.

            *Junior 3B Tre Phelps (.429-6-17) has a team-best .567 OB% and is the lone Bulldog to reach base in every game this year. He saw his 27-game hitting streak dating to the 2025 season end this past Wednesday going 0-3 with a BB and HBP. 

            *Sophomore INF/OF Henry Allen (.436-4-18) leads the team in batting and 2nd in OB% (.547).

            *Freshman OF Cole Johnson (.414-0-4) had his second three-hit game this past Wednesday against WCU. He ranks third on the club in batting.
