LAS VEGAS — The Georgia men’s golf team finished day one tied for ninth at the Southern Highlands Collegiate.

The Bulldogs got off to a slow start in round one, shooting a collective 4-over 292.

Sophomore James Earle and Senior Carter Loflin both shot 1-under. Earle and Loflin sit tied for 20 on the leaderboard. Both recorded back to back birdies, Loflin on holes 3 and 4 and Earle on holes 8 and 9.

Junior Grayson Wood shot 4-over par, while Matt Maloney went 2-over par.

Virginia (-11), Auburn (-6), Washington (-5), Florida (-5) and Illinois (-1) make up the top five.
