Bulldogs Open Competition at Last Chance Meet
ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia swimming and diving teams opened competition at the Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet Saturday at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

- Women’s 100y Breaststroke – Sophomore Charlotte Headland posted an NCAA-cut time of 1:00.28, while senior Ieva Maluka set a new personal-best time of 1:01.24. Headland later swam an NCAA cut time of 2:10.22 in a 200y breaststroke time trial.
- Women’s 200y Freestyle – In prelims, senior Shea Furse dropped a season-best NCAA cut of 1:44.31, followed by another NCAA time of 1:44.74 in finals. Sophomore Marie Landreneau also posted NCAA cuts in both sessions, a 1:45.52 in prelims and a 1:45.30 in finals.
- Men’s 200y Butterfly – Senior Roman Valdez touched first in a time trial with an NCAA cut of 1:43.03.
- Women’s 200y Freestyle Relay – Sophomore Katie Belle Sikes, freshmen Hayden Hollingsworth and Marin Clem, and senior Emma Norton posted a B-cut time of 1:28.68.
- Women’s 100y Butterfly – Maluka notched a season-best time of 53.15, while freshmen Kennedi Dobson (54.47) and Elizabeth Nawrocki (56.31) set new personal-best times.
- Men’s 50y Freestyle – Freshman Jayson Ross posted a time of 20.03, while fellow first year Natan Silva set a PB of 20.49. In a time trial, freshman Luke Sandberg finished with a time of 20.10.

Georgia concludes its home meet season with the final day of competition at the Bulldog Invitational. Prelims begin at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 4 p.m. Admission is free for all spectators.
