The inning started with back-to-back home runs in the fourth with long balls from sophomore Henry Allen (1-3, 2 RBI, HR) and senior Brennan Hudson (1-2, RBI, HR), marking their fourth and fifth home runs of the season, respectively. Allen’s home run was the hardest-hit ball this season at 113 mph off the bat.

Ike Cousins Head Baseball Coach Wes Johnson
On the offensive performance today…
“There is a lot to talk about. Brennan Hudson is a guy who doesn’t get talked about enough. He’s tough. He gets the hit-by-pitches, takes his walks then hits homers. He hit that ball so hard that he lined out to first on, and they got the double play. I think about what Brennen has done. It’s easy to talk about Tre Phelps. Tre is on fire. Kolby Branch is phenomenal. Daniel Jackson continues to hit the ball really hard. Ryan Black up there at the leadoff spot is being real patient and getting on base a lot. He’s having quality at-bats. We can just keep moving down the line. Ryan Wynn, we have seen it. His batting practices have been really good. He is stacking good days together. He came out today and had a good one.”

On playing in the Georgia lineup…
“It’s fun. We have a lot of guys from different places. It’s fun to go on the field with these guys and see all different cultures and different experiences come together.”
On how Georgia has combined for just nine strikeouts in the first three games of the series…
“Just sticking to our plan, our approach. Trying to stay in the zone as much as possible. Making them work for the outs that they do get.”
#12 Caden Aoki | Gr. | RHP
On his first start of the season…
“I thought it was good. I thought it was fun. It’s exciting to go back there and start again. I enjoyed the day.”
On what he learned from his bullpen appearances that he used in his start…
“Just getting ahead of hitters and putting them away when I can. Getting those strikeouts early in the season. You want to build on that for sure.”
