No. 4 Texas Beats No. 23 Georgia, 79-50
AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 4-ranked Texas Longhorns jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter and Georgia could not recover in a 79-50 loss Thursday night at the Moody Center.

*Georgia outscored Texas in the second half, 32-30, but could not overcome a 33-point deficit.
*Junior guard Rylie Theuerkauf scored in double figures for the eighth time in nine games with a team-high 16 points and a trio of 3-pointers.
*Sophomore guard Dani Carnegie — a candidate for the All-SEC Team — was held to a season-low three points in the loss.
* Texas forced 24 Georgia turnovers, scoring 27 points off those Lady Bulldog miscues.
* The Longhorns shot 53 percent from the field and held Georgia to 38 percent.
* Madison Booker led the home team with 18 points and five boards.
