Track & Field’s Adaejah Hodge Resets World Lead to Close Tiger Paw Invite

- Georgia started the day with a dominant showing in the women’s 200 meter dash with four Bulldogs within the top 10 finishers.
- Freshman phenom Adaejah Hodge ran away with the competition in first place with a personal-best effort of 22.51. That time resets the 2026 world lead of 22.51 that she set just two weeks ago in her debut. Hodge also improves to No. 22 in the collegiate all-time list indoors and ranks second in Georgia history indoors.
- All-American senior Kaila Jackson claimed third place posting a season best of 23.05, which ranks 11th in the current NCAA standings.
- Senior Jassani Carter and sophomore Sole Frederick also finished within the top-10, Carter in sixth with a season-best of 23.12 (T-No. 6 UGA history indoors) and Frederick in eighth at a career-best 23.37 (No. 10 UGA history indoors).
- Meanwhile in the field events, graduate transfer Kimani Jack matched his career-best of 2.25m/7-4.5 to secure first place and retain the current NCAA lead.
- The Bulldogs also found success on both sides of the relays with the women securing the win and the men taking third place in the 4×400 meter relays.
- The women’s foursome of freshman Skylar Brazzell, sophomore Michelle Smith, graduate transfer Chloe Fair and freshman Tianna Springer clocked 3:28.21, which ranks this relay squad fifth in the current NCAA standings and sixth in school history. Georgia Relay squads now claim three of the top-five fastest times so far this indoor season.
- In the men’s 4×4 the quartet of freshman Jonathan Simms, sophomore Xai Ricks, junior Will Floyd and freshman Sidi Njie clocked a season-best of 3:03.10 – that ranks the squad eighth in the current NCAA standings and fifth in school history.
- In Boston, freshman Anastasia Nilsson shined claiming 38th place in the women’s 3000m at Boston University’s David Hemery Valentine Invite. Nilsson’s 9.23.28 finish places her fourth in program history indoors.

The Bulldogs will be back in action next Friday for the final meet of the indoor regular-season, with a return trip to Arkansas for the Arkansas Qualifier on Feb. 20th.
