Bailey, Barrett and Fisher Selected as Captains
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State baseball senior Ben Barrett, junior Cal Fisher and sophomore Myles Bailey have been selected as the team’s captains, head coach Link Jarrett announced.
Barrett, a right-handed pitcher from Orlando, Florida, is in his fourth season with the Seminoles, Fisher, an infielder from Deerfield, Wisconsin, is in his third year in the Garnet and Gold and Bailey, a first baseman from Tallahassee, is in his second season with his hometown team. All three have spent their entire collegiate careers at FSU.
“I love this moment for our team,” Jarrett said. “The locker room speaks, and we listen to their voices on captains. It’s totally a player vote. These three represent work ethic, character and production. I am happy for them and their families, it is a really cool honor.”
The trio return to Florida State in 2026 after helping FSU to a second consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance in 2025, a first for the program since 2015-17 and one of five teams to reach back-to-back Supers.
Bailey earned Freshman All-America accolades in his debut season with the Seminoles in 2025 and has been recognized on several Preseason All-America teams in 2026. He played in 56 games with 55 starts as a freshman and led the team with 19 home runs, was second with 11 doubles and third with a .327 batting average and 53 RBI.

Barrett has earned All-ACC Academic Team and ACC Academic Honor Roll distinction throughout his career. Majoring in sport management, he has a 3.459 cumulative GPA.
Fisher played in 53 games with 52 starts as a sophomore in 2025. He hit .303 with 57 hits, 11 doubles and eight home runs with 37 RBI and 32 runs scored. Fisher was named to the Tallahassee Regional All-Regional Team and to the CSC Academic All-District Team in 2025. A finance major, he has a 3.406 cumulative GPA.
