Former Golf Alumni Brian Harman Named with UGA Young Alumni Award

Athens, Ga– Former UGA Golf Alumni Brian Harman was honored with the 2026 UGA Young Alumni Award.

Brian Harman was a standout golfer for UGA from 2005–2009, earning 2nd Team All-American honors three times and securing wins at the 2005 NCAA Preview and 2006 Isleworth Invitational. He was a member of the 2005 and 2009 winning Walker Cup teams and the 2007 Palmer Cup team. 

Harman’s PGA wins include the 2014 John Deere Classic, the 2017 Wells Fargo Championship, the 2023 Open Championship and the 2025 Valero Texas Open.

Harman was the second player of Georgia Coach Chris Haack‘s tenure to win a major championship.

The UGA Young Alumni Award is presented to individuals who bring recognition and honor back to the University of Georgia through outstanding leadership and service to the University, the community, and their profession. The 2026 Alumni Awards honorees will be welcomed to Athens on Thursday, April 2 for a luncheon to celebrate their dedication and loyalty to the University of Georgia.
