TALLAHASSEE – Florida State doubles pairing Luis Felipe Miguel and Erik Schiessl were named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week on Tuesday. The two are currently ranked among the nation’s top 20 duos.
 
No. 15 Luis Felipe Miguel and Erik Schiessl moved up 28 spots in the latest ITA doubles rankings after opening the season at No. 43. The duo continued to rise by clinching the doubles point for Florida State against No. 8 Texas A&M on Friday at the Indoor Tennis Courts.
 
The Seminoles struck first as teammates Oren Ezerzer and Gabor Hornung delivered a convincing 6-1 victory on court three. Texas A&M responded with a win on court two, setting up a decisive battle on court one. Both teams were tied at 4-4 before Florida State’s Miguel and Schiessl stepped up to close out a 6-4 win to clinch the doubles point.
