Florida Volleyball Signs Brooklyn Briscoe to 2026 Roster
The 6-foot-4 middle blocker will join the Gators as a redshirt junior in Summer 2026 after spending the previous three seasons at UCLA.
“Brooklyn is a perfect fit,” said Florida head coach Ryan Theis. “She’s a physical blocker who loves to attack behind the setter and brings high-level experience. Beyond her physical ability, she’s a five-star teammate. We’re excited about what she brings on the court, in the classroom and as a member of our team.”
After taking a redshirt in 2023, Briscoe appeared in 50 matches for UCLA, including all 32 during the 2025 campaign. During her redshirt sophomore season, she recorded a career-high nine blocks against Northwestern and tallied 10 kills versus both Penn State and Purdue, while posting a personal-best 12.5 points against Michigan State.
Briscoe is the sixth newcomer to join the Gators for the 2026 campaign. Florida previously signed freshman opposite/outside hitter Nadi’ya Shelby and announced the addition of four transfers: outside hitters Kamryn “Kami” Chaney and Selena Leban, middle blocker Brianna “Bri” Holladay and setter Bri Denney.
Why Briscoe chose the University of Florida
“I chose Florida because the girls and staff instantly made me feel welcome and valued from the moment I stepped on campus. Also, UF is an amazing university with top academics.”
