GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators Men’s Tennis program heads into the weekend facing Florida Gulf Coast. Florida enters the competition ranked at No. 23 by the ITA and have a slew of Gators with individual singles and doubles rankings. Among the Gators ranked in singles are, Pablo Perez Ramos at No. 32, Jeremy Jin at No. 43, Henry Jefferson at No. 50 and Adhithya Ganesan at No. 54. For doubles, the pairing of Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn ranked at No. 10 by the ITA.

Recapping the Weekend

The Gators received a series of losses this weekend after falling to instate rivals Florida State and No. 9 UCF. Both matches were hard fought and came down to the wire, but the Gators were unfortunately bested 3-4 by the Seminoles and 2-4 by the Knights. Pablo Perez Ramos is the one Florida player to remain undefeated in singles on the team, going 5-0 in duals and 7-0 for the season.

Exposé on the Eagles

Florida Gulf Coast enters the dual match with a 1-5 record, with their lone win coming against Oral Roberts on Jan. 17. The Eagles are 0-3 against the Gators and currently have no ranked doubles or singles players on their team. The teams’ last meeting was Feb. 2, 2025 with the Gators winning 4-1.
