Track & Field Finishes Day One of Razorback Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 10/NR Florida State track and field teams delivered impressive performances over a range of events during the first day of the Razorback Invitational on Friday, punctuated by three all-time performances. 

Walker moved up two spots on Florida State’s all-time list after placing third overall in the women’s 200-meters behind Georgia’s Adjeha Hodge. The Jamaican native clocked a new personal best and second-fastest time in program history at 22.96. Lucy May Sleeman followed Walker in 33rd with a lifetime-best of 23.93. 

The men’s distance medley team of Adrian Caredero, Aniol Borras, Isaac Hirshman Chandler and Zach Trotter took first overall in the event with the eighth-fastest time in FSU history at 9.44.16. The Seminoles finished ahead of No. 1 Georgia and No. 3 South Carolina and was the only ACC school in the event. 

The women’s DMR, consisting of Suus AltorfKaelyaah LiburdLeah Taylor and Bieke Schipperen, concluded the night with a fourth-place overall finish and second-fastest time in program history at 10:55.58. 

The Seminoles will continue action at the Razorback Invitational on Saturday, starting with the men’s 60-meter hurdles. Live results and stream can be found on Seminoles.com
