The Warm-Up Period
No. 8 Georgia Gymnastics is back at Stegeman Coliseum on Friday, hosting Central Michigan, Temple, and Fisk in a quad meet. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. on SEC Network+.

Coaching Connections
Temple head coach Hilary (Mauro) Steele was a GymDog from 2008-11. She was part of Georgia’s 2008 and 2009 National Championships and 2008 SEC Championship. She was a 2008 Second Team All-American on beam, 2010 and 2011 All-SEC performer, the 2010 SEC vault champion, the 2011 McMinn Competitive Consistency Award winner, and finished eighth all-time at Georgia in career beam points (546.7500). After earning her degree from Georgia, she served as a volunteer assistant coach for the program during the 2012 season.
 
A Look at What’s Ahead
Georgia hosts No. 11 Auburn at Stegeman on Sunday, Feb. 1. The meet will air on SEC Network at 6 p.m. The first 250 UGA students will get a GymDogs sweatshirt for Hairy Dawg’s birthday.
 
GymDogs in the Rankings
The GymDogs check in at No. 8 in the country in the Week 4 Road to Nationals rankings with a 197.025 team average. Georgia holds the top spot in the nation on floor (49.500) and is seventh on bars (49.258). Georgia is 11th on vault (49.158) and 12th on beam (49.108). The Bulldogs have risen in the rankings each week on vault, bars, and floor. Individually, three Bulldogs appear in the top five nationally on floor (Lily Smith, CaMarah Williams, and Nyla Aquino) while Smith is 11th on bars and Holly Snyder is 10th on beam.
 
Recapping the Last Meet
The GymDogs posted a 196.875 on the road at No. 2 Oklahoma on Friday, Jan. 23. Georgia posted season high team scores on vault (49.900), bars (49.300), and floor (49.550) in the meet. The GymDogs posted seven scores of 9.900 or better while Lily Smith and CaMarah Williams earned a share of the floor title, each scoring a 9.950 on the event.
 
The Sky’s the Limit on the Floor
The GymDogs enter this week’s meet holding the nation’s top spot on the floor exercise with a 49.500 event average. In 18 routines this season, Georgia has nine scores of 9.900 or better, all from the final three in the lineup: CaMarah Williams, Nyla Aquino, and Lily Smith. Smith ranks first nationally with an average of 9.950 while Williams ranks third (9.925) and Aquino ranks fifth (9.917). All seven GymDogs who have competed on floor this season rank in the top 100 nationally. Georgia has not recorded a score below 9.825 on floor this season.
 
Defending Our Home Floor
Georgia holds a 5-1 record at Stegeman Coliseum in the Canqueteau-Landi/Roberts era. The GymDogs went 4-1 at home in 2025 and opened the home schedule in 2026 with an upset of No. 2 LSU. In six home meets, Georgia has averaged a team score of 197.217 in front of an average of 9,364 fans.
