Florida Lacrosse No. 4 in ILWomen Media Poll
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Lacrosse has been ranked No. 4 in the ILWomen Preseason Media Poll, it was announced Monday.
The Gators are coming off a 2025 season that saw them win their 11th straight conference tournament championship (12th overall), 13th regular season title and reach their second straight NCAA Final Four, the third appearance in program history.
UF returns 25 players from the 2025 roster, including USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-Americans Kaitlyn Davies (First Team), Frannie Hahn (Second Team), Theresa Bragg (Second Team) and Ashley Dyer (Honorable Mention) and return 13 players that started at least one game in 2025 (Cali Bishop, Bragg, Davies, Dyer, Gabby Greene, Hahn, Clark Hamilton, Sam Hughes, Gabbi Koury, Chiara Schichilone, Ava Tighe, Jenny Woodings and Riley Zusi).
The Orange and Blue play six teams that find themselves ranked in top 25 (No. 1 North Carolina, No. 10 Clemson, No. 12 Michigan, No. 13 Penn, No. 16 Navy, and No. 18 Loyola), and three that received votes (Colorado, South Florida, and Dartmouth). They kick off their season with three straight ranked matchups against No. 18 Loyola (Feb. 7), No. 12 Michigan (Feb. 13), and No. 10 Clemson (Feb. 21).
