Last Updated: January 21, 2026By

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Sophomore outfielder Audrey Vandagriff is one of 50 athletes selected to the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List, released Wednesday by USA Softball.

A top three finalist for NFCA Freshman of the Year in 2025, this year marks Vandagriff’s career debut on the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year list. Her 50 stolen bases last season ranked second nationally and was the highest total by any freshman in Alabama program history. She also led the Crimson Tide with 69 hits, a .392 batting average, eight doubles and 51 runs scored.

The Watch List will be narrowed to a Top 25 finalist list on April 29. While an athlete does not have to be on the Preseason Watch List to be considered for the Top 25, the eventual winner of the award will come from that list of 25. The Top 10 will be revealed May 13 with the Top 3 coming May 18 and the winner announced in Oklahoma City prior to the start of the Women’s College World Series.
