Weaver Takes Fourth Place at Jones Cup
SEA ISLAND, Ga. – Florida State men’s golfer Tyler Weaver finished tied for fourth place at the 22nd Jones Cup Invitational on Sunday at the Ocean Forest Golf Club.
Due to a near five-hour delay in the first round on Friday due to heavy fog, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes. After completing seven holes on Friday, Weaver finished his first round even, 72 and tied for 18th place on Saturday.
Weaver made a push towards the leaders after a bogey-free front nine, making birdie on sixth hole. Weaver added birdies on the 10th and 15th, finishing the day shooting 2-under 70. He tied for fourth place at 2-under, 142.
Jack Bigham was also in the field and finished tied for 57th place at 9-over, 153 after carding 2-over, 74 on Sunday.
