Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Playoffs
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The National Football League begins its postseason on Saturday when the league playoffs begin with Wild Card Weekend. Below is a look at where the Crimson Tide will be represented on the road to Super Bowl LX.
The NFL Playoffs include 33 former Alabama players (active, reserve, practice squad) across 10 of the 14 teams. The Eagles feature the most former UA players with seven. Philadelphia’s roster includes Jihaad Campbell, Landon Dickerson, Jalen Hurts, Cameron Latu, DeVonta Smith, Tyler Steen and Byron Young.
Alabama has five former standouts on the Chargers in addition to four rostered by the Seahawks. Los Angeles’ group includes Bradley Bozeman, Justin Eboigbe, Da’Shawn Hand, Najee Harris and JK Scott with top-seeded Seattle’s roster spotted by Josh Jobe, Jalen Milroe, Robbie Ouzts, and Jarran Reed.
The Patriots, Texans, Panthers and Packers have three former Tide players apiece. New England’s roster features Christian Barmore, CJ Dippre and Anfernee Jennings along with the Texans in the AFC who will deploy Will Anderson Jr., Christian Harris and Henry To’oTo’o. The Panthers have LaBryan Ray, A’Shawn Robinson and Bryce Young, while the Packers include Trevon Diggs, Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney. The Broncos (Que Robinson, Pat Surtain II) and 49ers (Mac Jones, Brian Robinson Jr.) both feature two Alabama players, while the Bills (Phidarian Mathis) feature one.
The NFL Playoffs begin with Wild Card Weekend from Jan. 10-12 before the Divisional Round from Jan. 17-18. Championship Sunday is slated for Sunday, Jan. 25 with Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, Calif. currently scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 8.
