Doris Lemngole Headlines The Bowerman’s 2026 Women’s Preseason Watch List

Last Updated: January 7, 2026By

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama track and field star Doris Lemngole was one of 10 female student-athletes selected for The Bowerman’s 2026 Women’s Preseason Watch List, as the award’s reigning recipient headlined Wednesday’s announcement by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Less than one month after becoming the first Alabama athlete – and the first Kenyan competitor – to win the sport’s most prestigious collegiate award, Lemngole’s preseason inclusion placed her alongside Kimberlyn Duncan (2012, women’s) and Deon Lendore (2014, men’s) as the only Bowerman winners to appear on the Preseason Watch List the following year.
